What Is a Project?

The Triple Constraint
Every project must balance:
Scope – what’s included/excluded
Time – schedule and deadlines
Cost – available budget
Changing one impacts the others that’s the core challenge of project management.
Project Lifecycle
Initiation – define why the project exists
Planning – determine how, when, and by whom work will be done
Execution – coordinate people, materials, and tools
Monitoring & Control – track progress and manage change
